We are happy to announce the merger of The Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner Society of America with the American Association of Infectious Disease Nurses!

The most critical aspect of IDNP practice is integrating the holistic nursing approach into infectious disease care. We are nurses and are proud of the discipline! The American Association of Infectious Disease Nurses (AAIDN) is the new parent organization for the Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioners Society of America (IDNPSA)!

Yes and No. IDNPSA will be the advanced practice division of AAIDN. They are now one unified nursing organization.

No. You will still be a part of IDNPSA, but membership fees will be paid to AAIDN.

No. We are currently developing the IDNPSA website and plan to have another site featuring AAIDN in the future.

We are currently focusing on the IDNPSA volunteer structure, and as interest grows, we will be developing infectious disease nursing leadership and organizational committees for AAIDN. Can’t wait that long? Let us know here.

Yes. We are opening volunteer applications in the summer of 2025. Stay tuned.
