FAQs

Liposuction

What is liposuction?
Liposuction is a surgical procedure that removes stubborn fat deposits through small incisions using a thin tube called a cannula. It reshapes areas like the abdomen, flanks, thighs, arms, back and chin.
Is liposuction a weight-loss procedure?
No. Liposuction is a contouring procedure, not a substitute for weight loss. It works best for people close to their goal weight who have areas of fat that don't respond to diet and exercise.
Am I a good candidate?
Good candidates are in good overall health, at a stable weight, don't smoke (or are willing to stop before and after surgery) and have realistic expectations. Your provider will review your health history and goals at your consultation.
What kind of anesthesia is used?
Many of our procedures are performed under [local / tumescent anesthesia / sedation], depending on the treatment area and your needs. Your provider will go over the plan with you before your procedure.
When will I see results?
You'll notice a change right away, but swelling hides your final shape at first. Most patients see their results take shape over 6 to 12 weeks, with final results around 6 to 12 months. Results vary.
Is the fat gone for good?
The fat cells removed don't come back. Remaining fat cells can still grow with weight gain, so keeping a stable weight helps you keep your results.
Can liposuction be combined with skin tightening?
Yes. Many patients pair liposuction with Renuvion to help tighten skin as fat is removed, for a smoother result.

Renuvion

What is Renuvion?
Renuvion is a minimally invasive skin-tightening treatment that combines helium plasma and radiofrequency energy. It is applied beneath the skin to help contract tissue and tighten loose or lax skin.
What areas can Renuvion treat?
Common areas include the abdomen, arms, thighs, back, neck and under the chin. Your provider will recommend the right areas for your goals.
Who is a good candidate?
Renuvion is a great option for people with mild to moderate loose skin, including after weight loss or pregnancy, who want tighter skin without a large excision surgery. It's often paired with liposuction.
Can I have Renuvion after weight loss medications?
Yes. Many patients who have lost weight, including with GLP-1 medications, come to us for loose skin. Your provider will assess your skin and let you know if Renuvion, liposuction or a combination is the best fit.
Is there downtime?
Most patients return to light activity within a few days and normal routines within 1 to 2 weeks. You'll wear a compression garment while you heal. Downtime is longer when Renuvion is combined with liposuction.
When will I see results?
Some tightening is visible early, but skin continues to tighten as your body builds new collagen. Most patients see their full results over 6 to 9 months. Results vary.

AYON Body Contouring

What is AYON?
AYON is an FDA-cleared, all-in-one body contouring system made by Apyx Medical, the company behind Renuvion. It brings fat removal, contour refinement, skin tightening with Renuvion technology and surgical tools together in one platform.
How is AYON different from traditional liposuction?
With traditional liposuction, fat removal and skin tightening often require separate devices. AYON lets your provider remove fat, refine your contour and tighten skin in the same procedure, using one system designed by surgeons for precision.
Who is a good candidate for AYON?
AYON is well suited for people with stubborn fat that hasn't responded to diet and exercise, especially if they also have some loose skin. It's a popular option after significant weight loss.
Is AYON a surgical procedure?
Yes. AYON is used in a surgical setting by a trained provider. Your consultation will cover anesthesia, recovery and what to expect for your treatment areas.
What is recovery like?
Recovery is similar to liposuction with Renuvion: some swelling, bruising and soreness, a compression garment around the clock for 8 weeks and a gradual return to activity. Your provider will give you a personalized recovery plan.
When will I see results?
You'll see an early change once swelling begins to go down, with your contour and skin continuing to improve over the following months. Results vary.

Post-Op Care

How long will I need to wear a compression garment?
You'll wear your compression garment around the clock for 8 weeks, then as instructed by your provider. Compression helps reduce swelling and supports your new contour. Follow your provider's specific instructions.
When can I go back to work?
Many patients return to desk work within [3–7] days. Jobs that are physical may need more time. We'll help you plan your time off before your procedure.
When can I exercise again?
Light walking is encouraged right away to support circulation. Most patients can return to low-impact exercise after about [2] weeks and full workouts after about [4–6] weeks, once cleared by your provider.
Is swelling and bruising normal?
Yes. Swelling, bruising, numbness and some firmness are a normal part of healing. Most bruising fades in 2 to 3 weeks, while swelling gradually improves over several months.
Is drainage from the incisions normal?
Some fluid drainage in the first 24 to 72 hours is expected. Keep absorbent pads on hand and follow the care instructions we give you.
When should I call the clinic?
Call us right away if you have a fever, increasing redness, warmth or pain, pus or a bad smell from an incision, or swelling in one leg. Call 911 for chest pain or trouble breathing. Our after-hours line is 480 757 9890.
Will I need follow-up visits?
Yes. We'll see you for follow-ups at 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year after your procedure to check your healing and track your results.

Lymphatic Drainage

What is lymphatic drainage massage?
Lymphatic drainage is a gentle, rhythmic massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluid through your body. It's often used after body contouring to help with swelling and comfort during recovery.
Why is it recommended after liposuction or Renuvion?
After surgery, fluid can build up in the treated areas. Lymphatic drainage helps move that fluid along, which may reduce swelling, ease tightness and support a smoother healing process.
When should I start after my procedure?
Most patients start within [24–72 hours] after their procedure, once cleared by their provider. Your provider will let you know the right timing for you.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your procedure and how your body heals. Many post-op patients benefit from [6–10] sessions over the first few weeks. We offer packages to make this easy.
Does it hurt?
The technique itself is gentle. Treated areas may feel tender in the first days after surgery, and your therapist will adjust pressure to keep you comfortable.
What techniques do you offer?
Our team includes a specialist certified in Brazilian, Colombian and French lymphatic drainage techniques.
Do I need surgery to book lymphatic drainage?
No. Many people book lymphatic drainage as a wellness treatment to feel lighter, less puffy and more relaxed.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

What is hormone replacement therapy?
HRT restores hormones like estrogen, progesterone or testosterone to healthier levels when your body isn't making enough. Treatment is personalized based on your symptoms and lab results.
What symptoms can a hormone imbalance cause?
Common symptoms include fatigue, low energy, poor sleep, weight gain, brain fog, mood changes, low libido, hot flashes and night sweats. These can have other causes too, which is why we start with a full evaluation.
Is HRT only for women in menopause?
No. We treat women in perimenopause and menopause as well as men with low testosterone. Hormone changes can affect adults at many stages of life.
How do you decide if HRT is right for me?
Your first visit includes a detailed health history, a review of your symptoms and comprehensive lab work. Your provider uses these to decide whether HRT is a safe and appropriate option for you.
What forms of HRT do you offer?
We offer [injections, creams, oral options and hormone pellets]. Your provider will help you choose the option that fits your body and lifestyle.
How often will I need lab work?
Members get a comprehensive lab panel once a year, a hormone follow-up panel about 4 weeks after starting therapy, and a hormone and thyroid panel every 3 months to keep your dose on track.
How soon will I feel a difference?
Many patients notice improvements in energy, sleep or mood within a few weeks, with fuller benefits over 3 to 6 months. Results vary.
Are there risks?
Like any medical treatment, HRT has potential risks and side effects. Your provider will discuss these with you and monitor you closely with regular labs and check-ins.

IV Therapy

What is IV therapy?
IV therapy delivers fluids, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants directly into your bloodstream through a small IV. It's a fast way to hydrate and replenish nutrients.
How long does an IV session take?
Most drips take about [30–60] minutes. You can relax in a comfortable chair, read or catch up on your phone.
Who administers the IV?
All IVs are started and monitored by licensed medical professionals, under the direction of our medical director.
Do I need to be evaluated first?
Yes. Before your first drip, we'll review your health history, medications and allergies to make sure IV therapy is safe for you and to choose the right formula.
Which drip is right for me?
Our menu includes options for hydration, energy, immune support, recovery and beauty. Our team will help you pick based on your goals.
How often can I get IV therapy?
It depends on your goals and health. Some patients come in occasionally, others weekly or monthly. Your provider will recommend a schedule that's right for you.
Are there side effects?
IV therapy is generally well tolerated. You may notice mild bruising or tenderness where the IV was placed, or a cool feeling in your arm during the drip.

Injectables

What's the difference between neurotoxins and fillers?
Neurotoxins, like [Botox, Dysport, Xeomin or Daxxify], relax the muscles that cause expression lines such as forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet. Dermal fillers add volume to areas like the lips, cheeks, jawline and under-eyes, and smooth deeper folds.
How long do results last?
Neurotoxin results typically last 3 to 4 months. Filler results usually last 6 to 18 months, depending on the product and the area treated. Results vary.
Does it hurt?
Most patients describe a quick pinch. We use ice, numbing cream or fillers that contain numbing medicine to keep you comfortable.
Is there downtime?
Most people go right back to their day. You may have mild redness, swelling or bruising at the injection sites for a few days. Lip filler can swell more for the first 2 to 3 days.
When will I see results?
Fillers show results right away, with the final look once swelling settles in about 2 weeks. Neurotoxins start working in 3 to 5 days, with full results around 2 weeks.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
For about a week before, avoid alcohol and blood-thinning supplements like fish oil and vitamin E when you can, to lower your chance of bruising. Check with your doctor before stopping any prescribed medication.
Will I look natural?
That's our goal. Your provider will listen to what you want, assess your features and take a conservative approach. It's always easier to add more than to take away.
Who performs injections at Renew?
All injections are performed by licensed, trained medical providers.
